More fun reading!

ree

A good friend of mine recently admitted that he has found reading to be challenging in the season of Covid. I expect that weariness, distraction, and other challenges are contributors.

I inquired in a prior God Calls article about books you have enjoyed in recent months. Here is Nancy Becker’s reply:

“Dear Jennifer,

I have done lots of reading during sheltering.

Here are a few that I thought were exceptional:

The Great Good Thing by Andrew Klavon.  A deep, authentic and intelligent spiritual search by a nominal Jew.  a deep analysis of Christian theology. a very moving memoir

White Fragility:  Why is it so hard for white people to talk about race by Robin Di Angelo.  Sensitive and mind-opening treatment without any angry edge.

Two very good well written and insightful novels:

Ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger

The One in a Million Boy by Monica Wood

Many blessings, Nancy”

Good book recommendations from respected colleagues are always a gift.  Tell us more, friends.
